I'm back after a very long absence. I have been present over on Instagram however (laurah22113) where you can follow me for regular updates on all things creative. Over the last few years my style has developed and I have learnt new skills. Cardmaking and scrapbooking was how I first started papercrafting, I then discovered project life which I still enjoy. Most recently however I have discovered travellers notebooks! I love this system both for planning as everything is in one place. But also for creative journaling and memory keeping. I love the smaller layout and feel it enables me to be more creative, I'm a lot less worried about "making a mistake" .

I have recently joined the turtlecrafts design team, which I am very excited about ! I will be sharing my kits and layouts here and on Instagram . Turtle craft ( is a great uk based company that do monthly kits at very affordable prices.

Today I have another Project Life post. This one is my card for March. I really like the way this has turned out I cut the shape for the banner myself(I have seen punches that can do this for you). I then cut a calendar tab down to size mounted it and added some metal flower embellishments.

Today I'm posting about a project life card I made using a picture of a desert(TGI'S Chocolate brownie!). I wanted to use this picture in my layout so I cropped the picture, mounted it on white card added some patterned card from a Mambi Cards stack by Me and my big ideas. I then added a black strip of card across it. Lastly I added some wording from an old QVC kit.
For some reason the picture is uploading to my blog sideways even though on my computer it is the right way up. (sorry!)

Chipboard Clock

I've not been doing much crafting this week as we have had some lovely weather. I've been out painting the fence and decking, it was so nice to be out in the sun.

Todays post features a chipboard clock with I decorated with K and Co papers and added some chipboard numbers. It was simple to do yet looks lovely.

I used the crafters companion Stick and Stay to adhere the paper to the chipboard. In the past I have used dst or wet glue and have seen the glue through the paper.

I know its only March...

I know its only March but you can never start making your Christmas Cards too early. This year for the first time I am hoping to do a craft fair or have a staff at a Christmas fair so I am trying to make up quite a stock of cards, especially Christmas Cards.

Here is my latest card:

Hi ,

Yesterday I made this Dad card. I always struggle to think of ways to make male cards so I thought this was a nice card which could be used for birthdays or fathers day. The Dad stamp I used is a Docrafts one.

Make card using new goodies

Following yesterday's haul post I had a play with the sn@p stamps and made this card

The camera backing paper was from a scrapbooking kit I bought years ago. I then used the camera stamp and stamped it twice using black create and craft ink pad. I then used the "smile" stamp stamped in versus magic night sky.

I think it turned out ok but I'm not sure if it's maybe a bit busy with the backing paper
