The Last few days

Here are some of the projects I have been working on over the last few days

I made the sketch box by covering an old cardboard box with 12*12 patterned paper, I also lined the inside of the box using the same paper. I then matted and layered the dark blue card onto black card, attaching this to the front of the box. To embellish I then added chipboard lettering to spell "Sketches" and added a fabric flower with button for a centre.

Stampers 10( or 6)

I would like to start a stamper10(or 6) club, read what is involved below and if it sounds like something you would be interested in or have any questions please email me on Laurah22@hotmail.co.uk

Stampers 10(or 6) Club

Would you like some free stamps and free product?
Who wouldn’t? Well with Stampin’ Up! and a bit of help from me you can.
Here’s how it works:
When you host a workshop you need a minimum of £150 in sales to qualify for one set of free stamps and £15.00 worth of product from the catalogue
· In a Stampers 10 club there are 10 members, in stampers 6 there is 6 members
· The club runs for ten months, stampers 6 runs for 6months
· Each member agrees to spend a minimum of £15.00 per month, before postage.and for stampers6 each member agrees to spend minimum of £25.00 per month, before postage.
· Each month a different club member is chosen to be the hostess.
· You do not actually have to host a workshop – it’s like having a virtual party.
· When it is your turn to be the hostess you are guaranteed to receive a level one hostess set of your choice free plus at least £15 to spend in the catalogue.
· You also get a free copy of the catalogue.
By joining a Stampers 10(or 6) Club you get the chance to spread the cost while building up your collection, and still being able to enjoy the free benefits. It’s that simple. If you are interested please contact me as soon as possible to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Craft Area

For all those on the docrafts forum to see where I craft. As you can see my craft stuff is all over the bedroom in different area, even the wardrobe!! I am in the process of re organising my stash and plan to get a large worktop fitted along the length of the backwall. Will post more pics when I have got organised and the worktop is installed. Thanks for looking :)

Tidy Up

As I mentioned before I am in the process of becoming a stamping up demonstrator and as I don't have a designated crafting area as such(just boxes everywhere) I though I would try and get organised whilst creating an area where I can craft and leave projects out. Ideally I am looking into having a large worktop area where all my boxes/drawers etc can be hidden under but easily accessible. I will try and get some pictures up of my mess that is my crafting boxes and then when its all finished I will take some pictures of a very organised area (hopefully)

I came across this site some time ago and have spend many hours looking through all the rooms

Distressing

Had a very productive day today, been playing with new stash and getting used to my new alcohol inks (which I'm loving) and Tim holtz ink applicator for distressing with ink pads.
I was inspired to create this card after playing around with the inks, and stamps(the above picture is what I came up with)
I created this card for a mothers day order, I used the tim holtz applicator tool to apply the pink/purple ink to the edges of the card to give a distressed look, and a stencil to create the flowered edge.

Alcohol Inks

Here is my attempt at using alcohol inks, I've had a play around with them using the blending solution to lighten them and then just using the inks on their own. I really enjoyed using them and hopefully with more practice and colours( I feel another spending spree coming on lol) I will get better but for a first attempt it wasn't too bad!

I felt it needed a little more so I added glossy accents over the flowers, waited for it to dry and then rubbed some brown ink over it to make the flowers stand out.

Here's some pictures of the goodies I bought, I'm off to have a play and will let you see what I come up with! I seen a fab demo using alcohol inks so obviously I had to get some, now I hope I can remember how to use them, if you have any tips get in touch or leave me a wee comment, any help would be appreciated, Thanks x
